Welcome to TET-Assam
The Govt. of Assam Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Conducts the Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (ATET), as per the formalities laid down by the central regulating authorities. Assam TET is for the Candidates aspiring to become teachers in Primary (Class I – V) , Upper Primary ( class VI – VIII) and High School (Class IX – X) schools in the State Of Assam.
Eligibility and Qualification for Assam TET (ATET):
Candidates should have following Qualification as prescribed by the NCTE. The State Govt. may change the Qualification and Requirements as per the GOs issued by them.
1. Assam TET (TET) Qualification for teachers of Classes I – V : Candidates should have passed in senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. Those appearing in final 2 year diploma in Elementary education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education/ 2-year diploma in Education in special education are also eligible, OR candidates with B.A / B.Sc. with at least 50% marks are eligible for ATET.
2. Assam TET Qualification teachers of Classes VI – VIII: Applicants having B.A/ B.Sc. and those appearing in final 2 year D.Ed/ B.A/ B/Sc. , with at least 45% marks and passed/ appearing in B.Ed./ Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed., or B.A (Ed.) / B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special education) with 50% in BA or B.Sc. are eligible for TET.
3. Assam TET Qualification for teachers of High School (Class IX-X): Applicants having at least 50% marks in B.A/ B.Sc are eligible for ATET.
